POLICIES

FOOD ALLERGY POLICY:

We have children with serious life threatening allergies attending the school. In order to insure their well being, we must enforce a strict policy regarding food. We are a peanut and tree-nut free facility.

  • Children may not bring peanut or tree nut products to school for lunch or snack.

  • Foods produced in a factory which processes peanut or tree nuts are also not permitted.

  • If your child has peanut butter or any peanut product for breakfast, please wash their hands and face prior coming to school.

  • Birthday treats: Please send only prepackaged treats for birthdays. Package labels must not include any peanuts, peanut products or anything that has been processed in a factory that contains peanut or tree nuts.

HEALTH POLICY:

Control of communicable illness among the children is a prime concern of CCNS. In order to protect all our students, we ask that parents keep sick children at home if they have experienced any of the following symptoms within the past 24 hours:

  • A fever of 100F orally or 99F auxiliary

  • Signs of a newly developing cold or severe coughing

  • Diarrhea, vomiting or an upset stomach

  • Unusual or unexplained fatigue, irritability or headache

  • Any discharge or drainage from eyes, nose, ears or open sores

  • Any unexplained rash

Children who become ill with any of these symptoms will be returned home. We appreciate your cooperation regarding this policy.

SNOW DAYS:

We follow the Pawling Central School District for school closings and delays due to inclement weather. If the PCSD is closed due to inclement weather, we are closed. If the PCSD has a two hour delay, our morning session will begin at 10AM and will be extended to 12PM. In the event of a delayed opening, afternoon lunch bunch program will begin at 12PM. If the PCSD has an early dismissal due to inclement weather, our afternoon session will be cancelled.

*Please log onto: www.cancellations.com and type in the zip code 12564 for information.

PARKING AND DROP-OFF POLICY:

Parking for CCNS is in the parking lot opposite the playground. Please adhere to this policy for the safety of the children. There is NO parking along the building. Our drop-off system begins in October. Parents can drive down to the school entrance and a staff member will help the children out of the car and bring them safely into their classroom.

TUITION POLICY:

Tuition is due the 1st of each month, October through June. September tuition is due at the time of registration. Each family will receive a tuition envelope which will record each month's payment. Please leave your tuition envelope in the basket on the front desk.

If your check is returned from the bank, you will be charged the fee the bank charges the school.

Tuition becomes non-refundable once the school year begins.

If you have any questions or concerns regarding any of the school policies, please speak with the director.
